ABOUT BUGLET BATTERY
When we started designing and installing solar systems in 2006, we were aware of the inspiring opportunity offered by increasingly affordable and accessible solar technology. Over the years, we have been repeatedly astounded by the empowerment offered by on-site renewable energy generation.
With technology advancements and financial incentives becoming available for home battery implementation, we are now able to focus our expertise and experience in support of the next important aspect of renewable energy advancement.
With rising electrification for buildings and vehicle transportation, consumers are increasingly empowered to generate their own energy and store it for utilization at times most vital to serving personal demand, as well as supporting the utility grid.
Our Story
Buglet Battery Design and Installation grew out of careers in solar installation, aerospace, custom bicycle engineering, journalism and activism—not to mention an odd little nickname!
We’re a small, community-based business with almost two decades of experience in the renewable energy sector. Owners Bart Sheldrake and Whitney Painter are invested in Colorado, and in utilizing our planet’s resources in the most efficient ways possible.
What The Heck Does Buglet Mean, Anyway?!
Bart named Buglet Solar after the childhood nickname given to Whitney by her mother, Stephanie. According to Stephanie, “I couldn’t help it; she was cute as a little bug!”
We also see a strong connection between this family nickname and our mission to improve the human condition. Because our planet’s precious bug populations underpin their ecosystems, the welfare of bugs provides a barometer of ecological health.
Buglet Battery Design & Installation strives to increase access to energy storage technology and improve renewable energy utilization in order make more bugs—and along with them, our entire planet—a little more healthy and happy.
